The Project Coordinator in Jordan will act as an in-country representative of One Global Economy and the Managing Editor for the Jordan Beehive (http://jordan.thebeehive.org). The Project Coordinator’s objective is to increase awareness and usage of the Beehive and other OGE products and services, and expand activities nationally and regionally.

Activities
Outreach
• Identify and meet with potential funders from public and private sector, educational institutions, etc.
• Work with potential funders and OGE staff to create proposals to secure funding
• Identify local and international NGOs, government agencies (e.g., Ministry of Education), community organizations and private sector stakeholders whose involvement with the Beehive could contribute to increased funding, utility or awareness of the Beehive
• Identify opportunities for collaboration with stakeholders (e.g., publishing their public use content on the Beehive, training youth on Beehive navigation, etc.)
• Promote the Beehive via media, schools, other venues
• Conduct training in Beehive navigation at computer centers
Content
• Meet with Beehive users, potential users and stakeholders to identify local information and resource needs appropriate for the Beehive
• Research services available to low-income communities
• Add information and resources to localize the Beehive for Jordan (expected to be Amman, Aqaba, and Madaba).
• Continuously update content and information so as to create a dynamic and useful portal for the community.
• Write original content and identify sources of existing content in Arabic that may be used on the Beehive. Topics include money, health, jobs, school, micro enterprise development, family, and housing.
• Provide summaries of Arabic materials in English for OGE staff in Washington.
• Edit content provided by One Global Economy and content provided by the local NGO partners.
• Upload content to the Beehive using One Global Economy’s Content Management System.
