Responsibilities
• Performs diagnostic general x-ray exams and screening mammography consistently maintaining a high level of quality and productivity. Operates all relevant equipment and computer systems, including Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archival & Communication System (PACS).
• Interviews patients for medical history; prepares and positions patients for exams; reviews images for quality and abnormalities; completes documentation and file notations; performs Quality Control (QC) and patient tests according to protocol; works cooperatively with Radiologist.
• Provides excellent care and service to patients. Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Stocks supplies; maintains cleanliness of scan rooms and dressing rooms.
• Remains in contact with dispatch when work is completed for further assignments
• Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control
• Prepares images for reading by radiologist
• Maintains and cleans all equipment. Maintains proper sanitation of equipment after each patient contact.
• Performs daily inspection of assigned vehicles, x-ray machine, Mammogram and other medical equipment
