1. Job Purpose:
Directs and controls contractors’ workforce engaged in minor/medium maintenance, installation, fabrication and modification works carried out on all offshore above and sub-sea structures. Ensures adherence to Company’s established procedures and approved engineering/safety standards, and operability of all tools and equipment installed on-board the contracted work-boat. Recommends off-hiring/ceasing payments of the work-boats charges.
2. Principal Accountabilities:
▫ Reviews work list schedules prepared by Planning Engineering Unit in Asset Unit and/or adhoc requests channeled through Supervisor for maintenance, modification, installation and fabrication of minor/medium works to be carried out above and sub-sea offshore structures. Ensures such requests are supported with necessary engineering drawings such as providing sandbag supports on sea-beds, relocating mooring buoys anchor blocks, installing bracelet anodes, replacing fenders, …etc. Reviews such drawings and highlights discrepancies/abnormalities and recommends to Supervisor appropriate corrective measures.
▫ Determines priorities ensuring that required materials are available on site on due dates. Liaises with site Electrical/Production Supervisors, Senior Marine Supervisors, Process Supervisors to obtain hot/cold work permits as required and arranges for anchoring.
▫ Acts as ADMA-OPCO Representative on the contracted work-boat. Instructs contractors workforce to implement required works to Company’s approved engineering standards. Checks completed works and liaises with Site Inspection Engineers for certifying satisfactory completion keeping Supervisor informed of work progress.
▫ Ensures that all work-boat tools and equipment are operating efficiently, evaluates impact of malfunctioning on Company’s operations and recommends to Supervisor off-hiring/ceasing payments of the workboat charges identifying dates.
▫ Ensures that all personnel on-board the barge adhere to and carries out works in accordance with ADMA-OPCO accepted standard, codes of practice and safety regulations & precautionary measures and discusses hazardous jobs/expected situations, checks physically the work conditions before issuing acceptance certificates or permits. Carries out periodic self inspection of the Boat, organizes safety campaigns and conducts safety meetings on work boats and carries out safety drills, such as fire drill, abandon ship drill, man overboard drill/prevention on the job safety training for contractors’ personnel. Monitors the critical parts/items, which may develop unsafe working conditions, ensure prevention of failure or malfunction. Enforces contractors to apply/follow ADMA-OPCO safety regulations, monitors their performance and provides on site orientation/training for new personnel engaged. Prepares on self-inspection, safety activities and incident/accident reports.
▫ Performs other related duties such as initiating/ originating materials/stock items requests, writing reports, maintaining daily logs and work records, leave-relieving other Maintenance Supervisors on Al-Hyleh and/or SEP, …etc.
3. Dimensions:
Budget(Operating/Capital), if applicable:
No. of employees supervised: Gives work directions to Contractors’ work-boat crew including Divers Supervisor with 12 subordinates.
4. Communications & Organisational Relationships:
 Daily contacts with work-boat personnel at Divers Supervisor level to provide work instructions.
 Frequent contacts with Asset Units, Safety and Inspection personnel at Supervisor level to co-ordinate work requirements and obtain necessary work permits.
 Regular contacts with Senior Marine Supervisor (Fields) and/or Operations Process Engineers to discuss work requirements and arrange for anchoring.
 Works according to Company’s established procedures and specialised technical standards. Exercises latitude when responding to adhoc maintenance requests and off-hiring work-boats.
 Completed work is subject to general Supervision.
المهارات
 Secondary Technical Certificate followed by 3-years formal training leading to a technical diploma.
 6 years experience in mechanical maintenance, fabrication and modification works of which at least 2 years in offshore oil installations and 2 years in supervisory capacity.
 Good knowledge of English.
