As the Data Governance Business Partner you will be responsible for the development and oversight of the data governance frameworks, standards, policies and processes across the organisation; whilst leading the design, implementation and management of organisation wide data strategy and data governance measures covering master data management, data definition, quality standards and stewardship responsibilities.

Description
Define and implement data ownership roles and responsibilities including organisational structures, processes and resource profiles to operationalise data governanceAssist the Head of Data Governance in the development of the Central Data Governance functionsDevelop and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organisationAssist in the establishment of the Data Governance Council by providing structure and relevant materialsDevelop templates and approaches for mapping data flow diagrams, identifying key flows using swim lane and other relevant techniquesDevelop training and communication materials to embed data governance in departmentsDefine target state data flows for key functions include performance reporting, accounting, trade operations.Facilitate and drive knowledge sharing initiativesFacilitate reviews and workshops of target state characteristicsDefine the data landscape by identifying the creation and usage of data, establishing data sharing agreements, identifying duplicate data sources and brokering agreements to migrate to new master sources
Profile
A minimum of 15 years of experience of which at least 7 years have been in a Data Management/ Data Governance roleStrong experience of developing Data Governance frameworks and performing data management activitiesExperience in business architecture, target operating models, data architecture and master data management platformsPreferred knowledge of securities industry business and financial instruments such as equities, fixed income & derivativesStrong stakeholder management capabilitiesA Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in a relevant field
