Strategic
• Manage the operational performance of the division against the set objectives and KPIs on a regular basis. Issue corrective action as necessary, ensuring alignment to the approved governance process and escalate any issues
• Drive the implementation of the case management’s strategic process, ensuring implementation of and adherence to policies and procedures applicable to the division
• Drive the development of periodical reports regarding overall performance, progress, potential issues and risks related to the division
• Manage the allocation of budget across the division and submit regular budget reviews and projections to management
• Promote innovation and excellence, and collaboration between teams and functions and the use of technology

Operational
• Manage the process for the case management division including supporting and engaging beneficiaries into activation and monitoring compliance
• Ensure proper actions and interventions are used to motivate and support beneficiaries
• Ensure that beneficiaries are matched to appropriate activation programs to ensure they are benefiting and that the sector is meeting it’s KPIs through graduating beneficiaries out of the system
• Ensure proper liaisons with the application management team to make sure that their systems are up to date and accurately reflect the status of each beneficiary
• Drive the development of the process to ensure that adequate support is provided to beneficiaries who need additional or alternative support and monitor and be accountable for the courses of action taken
• Ensure all beneficiaries are adhering to the conditions of their entitlement and identify the impacts of any observed trends in non-compliance
• Approve any use of sanctions for non-compliance in line with policy and procedures whilst maintaining the social welfare for the beneficiaries and their families
• Drive the development of effective engagement with beneficiaries by case managers and the tailoring of activation support as required
• Ensure the beneficiaries database is kept up to date and regularly reviewed, in line with policy
• Evaluate continuous improvement recommendations and implement a selected number of initiatives
• Cascade any changes in policy and procedure and drive the adoption and adherence to changes
People Management
• Define performance management objectives for all reportees and regular performance reviews. Monitor performance against their KPIs and give support and advice when necessary to ensure that performance objectives are met
• Drive a high performance culture set through clear performance management objectives (individual and group defined)
• Provide guidance to reportees on operational and people management matters. Provide reportees with mentoring and coaching when necessary in order to ensure that they are well equipped to tackle the operational requirements from a professional and behavioral standpoint
• Oversee and manage the formulation of workforce planning reports and talent acquisition plans for the division to ensure adequate staffing for optimal operational smoothness, and submit to management for approval
• Identify talent for pivotal roles from a succession management standpoint to ensure business continuity and liaise with HR for enrolment in the necessary development programs
