Description

Carries out first line maintenance / installation of advanced rotating machinery equipment such as pumps, compressors, gas / stream turbines and diesel engines. Maintains, repairs, inspects and overhauls Gas Turbine and associated equipment.

Job Purpose:

Carries out first line maintenance I installation of advanced rotating machinery equipment such as pumps, compressors, gas I stream turbines and diesel engines. Maintains, repairs, inspects and overhauls Gas Turbine and associated equipment.

Principal Accountabilities:

Ensures the availability, proper storage and operations conditions of all assigned tools and equipment. Assists Supervisor in reviewing spare parts and raises necessary requests.
Keeps records of repairs and maintenance work carried out and prepares related reports as appropriate.
Diagnoses and analyses damage I faults of equipment and makes appropriate recommendation to Supervisor. Monitors and measures vibrations readings level and keeps records for each unit. Maintains close and continuous contacts with operating Division’s personnel and supervises the work of contractors.
Directs the activities of Mechanical Technicians and contractors’ personnel including setting priorities, assigning tasks and checking completed work.
Monitors temperatures and pressures, checks oil levels and other operating parameters of equipment during operations failures I leakages in hazardous areas. Participates and follows up on routine preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment according to schedules.
Repairs, replaces or installs various machinery and equipment as instructed includes diagnosing faults, ordering spare parts, equipment and tools, initiating repairs I replacements and referring more complex issues to Supervisor.
Maintains, repairs and overhauls rotating machinery and other associated equipment within the scope of mechanical engineering discipline includes checking cold I hot alignment,
diagnosing and rectifying mechanical problems.
Monitors and measures vibrations readings level and keeps records for each unit, including detecting abnormalities, analyzing problems and recommending corrective actions. Identifies spares requirement and maintains all necessary tools and equipment for normal and planned maintenance I inspection, combustion, hot gas path and major overhaul.
Ensures availability proper storage and operations conditions of all assigned tools and equipment. Assists Supervisor to review spare parts and update various tools and equipment records.
Leads a team of Technicians and contractors to carry out the tasks as well as routine inspections major overhaul, hot gas path and combustions inspection for gas turbines and their associated equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned by Supervisor such as participating in training / developing new recruits I UAE National employees I juniors, keeping abreast with latest development in tools and preparing necessary reports.
Works in line with HSE policy and ensures awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.

Minimum Requirements

Completion of technical secondary education certificate followed by 3 years formal training in mechanical trades.
5 - 6 years’ experience in Oil I gas industry including gas turbine troubleshooting and major overhauls.
Good knowledge of English language.
