Lead Construction Engineer (Mechanical)

Job Description and Requirements
Successful candidate should be responsible for below duties and responsibilities;

To ensure that he is fully familiar with the project Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) policy, HSE Procedures, Project Specifications , Approved Work Procedures and contractor Scope of Work
To monitor and advise Contractor during the day to day construction works and his compliance with project specifications and procedures
To monitor Contractor works against the project schedule
To coordinate with the other PMT / PMC engineers as required
To report back to the Team Lead on a daily basis problems present and / or foreseen and recommend measures to be taken
Daily surveillance of Contractor construction activities with regards to safe working conditions, work permits, adequate numbers of experienced/qualified supervision and manpower, proper PPE and well maintained equipment to execute the works as per schedule and targets
Review and comment Contractor documents such as method statements, lifting plans, risk assessments and job safety analysis
Routine checks to ensure Contractor onsite is in possession of and adheres strictly to the latest approved for construction (AFC) project drawings, specifications, procedures and site instructions
Routinely check Contractor site control, receipt, storage and checking of materials and complies with preservation requirements
Conformity checks during erection and installation of piping and equipment against Isometrics, P&ID;’s and GA / layout drawings
Monitoring piping flushing, hydro-test, leak testing activities
Monitor interface works with other disciplines and Contractors awareness of sequence of works
Keep a daily log of activities covered, any specific events and any areas of concern reported to the Project Manager

Bachelor in Engineering or construction
Minimum 15 years in construction of major offshore Oil and Gas projects
Experience in marine construction works, fabrication and construction of jetty, cargo barges, lift boat, drilling rigs, jackets and platforms
