responsibiities and duties;
Directs and manages an area of the assigned FEED / EPC project in a manner that achieves project requirements for safety, quality, engineering, schedule, construction, and cost management.
Manage the FEED or Procurement & Construction or EPC service contract/project in a manner that achieves a quality construction meeting performance parameter set out in the related project agreement within the cost and schedule targets.
Ensure compliance with company’s objectives, requirements, priorities, policies, procedures, standards, rules, regulations and guidelines provided by company from time to time.
Take necessary corrective action to align project back on track in case of deviations from plans (cost, schedule, quality, HSE, performance, operability, maintainability, etc.). Minimize as much as possible the change orders / variations. Minimize and mitigate the disputes with the contractors.
Ensuring the scope of work is clear and that the project delivers the expected outcomes and benefits
Planning and resourcing work
Developing risk management strategy on projects, tailored to project scale and complexity
Interfacing with Design Managers and Technical Leads to ensure we meet and exceed Client expectations in the quality of our technical deliverables
Motivating people involved in the project, understanding strengths and weaknesses to achieve a high performing team
Implementing project management solutions and standardised tools, yet tailoring to projects, so as to deliver within time and to budget constraints
Implementing processes which prove value for money to the Client
Working as an integrated member into Client organisations to support development and implementation of project management best practice
Preparing project management documentation such as Project Execution Plans, Quality Plans, Health and Safety Plans, Stakeholder Management Plans
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university with minimum 20 years in execution of FEED / EPC contracts of offshore / onshore Oil and Gas / Petrochemical and Marine Projects
Must have at least five years of experience in similar position for international major Oil & Gas / Marine EPC projects including minimum five years in GCC region
Experience in a multi-disciplinary or engineering consultancy business
Significant project management experience
Experience of working at all stages of the project lifecycle
Decisive and able to work well under pressure
Good understanding of health and safety
Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Able to co-ordinate work carried out by different people and organisations
Excellent at time management and managing competing pressures from different projects
