Develop and implement project management best practices, processes, and policies such as planning, scheduling, budgeting, quality and risk assessment, to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals
· Advises project team(s) on the principles for the successful management of projects throughout the project life cycle, including setting and controlling project criteria, producing detailed project plans, anticipating resource usage and availability, scheduling for optimum efficiency and maintaining metric data and estimating models
· Reviews progress with the project and program managers to ensure that all projects are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements
· Reports progress to Executive Management from a program/portfolio view, including actual and forecasted costs, risk areas and possible mitigation, availability, and utilization of resources, revenue, profitability, and quality
· Builds and provides direction and day-to-day operations to the PMO, providing process administration support to the project team(s). The PMO scope may include technical and/or non-technical programs for a customer/business
· Manages project initiation activities that include identifying contractual obligations, client or business needs and goals, existing situation, necessary contacts, and access to existing information as needed
· Ensures requirements for internal projects align to operational standards
· Develops, defines and executes project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables
· Coordinates activities and tasks among project team members, other internal departments and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations as needed to meet project goals and ensure project completion is on schedule, within budget constraints, and of the appropriate quality standards for the project scope
· Manages project risks, issues/problems and activity progress to ensure project goals (e.g., deadline, scope and quality) are achieved
· Manages the integration of vendor/subcontractor tasks, and track and review vendor/subcontractor deliverables, if appropriate for the project
· Ensures compliance with standards, processes and any legal requirements
Conduct project related trainings for the team members
Knowledge and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Business Administration or related discipline
· Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Business Administration (preferred) is preferred
· PMI Certifications as progressively desired:
· Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
· Project Management Professional (PMP)
· Program Management Professional (PgMP)
· Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP)
· Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
· PRINCE 2 Foundation, Practitioner, and Professional as progressively desired
· Experience of Project Management in Banking& Financial Services
· GCC experience is preferred
· Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in Project Management
· Understanding / experience in Project Administration, Reporting and Analytics, Resource Management, Project Risk Management, Project Governance, one or more of the following domains - Retail, Wholesale, Treasury, Credit, Ops, Financials and Risk Management
· Experience in managing mid-sized projects (i.e. 10-15 resources, duration of 3-6 months)
· Experience in managing Vendors and Project Planning
· Experience in managing a small portfolio of 2-3 projects concurrently
· Proven ability to manage stakeholders including business heads, functional heads, and other senior management
· Managing multi-location, multi-Vendor, distributed Teams including task allocation, monitoring, effective communication
