Essentials: Construction Supervision of 410 Villa in Al Mirfa Region, Abu Dhabi Reviewing, monitoring and auditing the CONTRACTOR’s Project Quality Assurance / Quality Control Plan. Monitoring CONTRACTOR’s compliance with safety and environment protection. Review and provide approval, or otherwise, of materials, shop drawings and method statements. Checking materials received on site, as soon as it is delivered, for compliance with the CONTRACTOR’s approved submissions. Inspecting the construction works, construction methods and operations, sampling and site activities in order to verify their compliance with the Contract. Ensure performance of the work in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. Maintain a detailed diary of the day’s work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labor and equipment used, etc. and sign it at the end of each day. Coordinate with the Contractors supervisor in charge of the work on daily basis on the proper execution of the work. Coordinate with the Laboratory Technician and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work, and quality assurance testing of suspect materials. Report questionable methods of operation by the Contractor to the Senior Inspector / Assistant Resident Engineer. Report to the Senior Inspector / Assistant Resident Engineer any failure of the Contractor to conform to plans and specifications and to provide good workmanship. Process the request to inspect work forms and maintain records of their status. Maintain detailed records of work performed by the Contractor on a daily basis. Make special notes and document the Contractor’s activities that may lead to claims. Notify the Senior Inspector / Assistant Resident Engineer of conditions that render it impractical or unreasonable to enforce the specifications. Report performance of the work in strict accordance with the approved safety plan. |
