Position Overview
The MES Consultant will consult and architect Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for Industrial IT solutions to leading manufacturers. This is a customer facing role requiring a broad knowledge of MES, SQL and web servers and in particular Honeywell PHD.
You will be required to attend customer meetings, to author MES process mapping using UML diagrams, function designs and test specification, and give advice and thought leadership.
You will work closely with project manages and system architects and other key stakeholders which will define in detail the solution architecture being proposed. You will require a very good working knowledge of the PHD Systems model and integration with ERP (especially SAP), CMM, PDM, PLM, LIMS systems.
General Responsibilities
• Provides technical consultancy and expertise in MES applications implementation.
• Monitor and maintain data historian system (Honeywell PHD)
• Support and train users of assigned MES applications and of PHD.
• Take part of the implementation of new MES applications.
• Recommends Contractors of software solutions in MES spectrum.
• Take part of the technical evaluation of software solutions in the MES area.
• Take part of the implementation of an integration platform that interface the implementation and to- be implemented applications (among them and with SAP and PHD).
Company Industry
المهارات
• Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in IT or Electrical Engineering related discipline.
• 3 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, petrochemical or other process industry.
• At least 6 to 7 years in of IT experience with at least 5 years in data historian and MES applications.
• Experience in Oracle or MS SQL database administration.
• Fluent in English and Arabic is a plus.
• Must have a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Strong desire for continued growth and learning
• Professional certifications in related discipline is a plus.
