Taylor Sterling is looking for a Construction Director to join a well-established development firm in Abu Dhabi. In the role you will oversee and direct all construction activities and construction personnel on high end projects in the UAE.
Client is not just looking for someone to manage construction, but seeks an experienced individual to drive the organization such that construction is seen as a competitive advantage.
Primary Responsibilities & Objectives:
Supervise on-site construction managers, as well as manage the third-party general contracting teams
Maintain executive level reporting and communication; must have the ability to communicate with senior management
Manage the permitting and approval phases for those projects needing municipality approval
Supervise construction reporting and forecasting
Develop / monitor construction budgets and schedules
Oversee the negotiation of agreements with the General Contractors and other construction professionals
Work collaboratively with the in-house design and construction teams
Analyze cost and schedule savings opportunities
Manage quality control

Requirements:
Bachelor Degree with construction related curriculum
15+ years of consultancy/ client construction experience
Strong organization, communication, leadership and staff management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and strategic initiatives
Excellent computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, MS Word, MS Projec
