الوصف الوظيفي · Inspect/Assess the range safety requirements for all client live fire ranges for all natures of available ammunition on a periodic rolling program as directed as well as a variety of other military training facilities. · Conduct/support site selection and design of new ranges. · Assess range operator / range user requests for non-standard practices. · Conduct range incident investigations. · Certify range compliance or develop dispensation proposals for those ranges / facilities deemed to be non-compliant. · Provide range / training facility design support as follows: o Assist in site selection and siting design boards. o Advise / Assist in training facility design briefings. o Provide range concept design support in response to range inspections and certification issues, new range user requirements and proposals for new / alternative material use. · Conduct / support independent assessment of third party range design proposals. · Certification of new ranges in accordance with the accepted doctrine (JSP-403). · Provide support for facility surveys, analyze findings and assist in the development of construction or development plans. · Provide support for the development of Range Safety Doctrine, Policies and Range Standing Orders. · Provide technical input into all policy development across the program and training facilities where appropriate and as directed. · Provide technical advice, training and coaching to key staff within the Program Management Office, the client and related organisations where appropriate. · Support the compilation of the Monthly Progress Report. · Other tasks as directed by the client. Education and Experience Essential · The candidate should have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the planning and control of military ranges using direct and in-direct fire weapons. · The candidate must have experience in firing range development and range regulations. · Well-developed communication skills and proficient with the commonly used MS Office suite of software. · The candidate must have a working knowledge in the development of range doctrine, policies and standing orders. · The candidate must be fluent in English. · Must have experience in range template design with probabilistic and deterministic modelling. · Senior Range Instructor Qualified or equivalent. · Experience in training military personnel.
