Job Description and Requirements Liaise with Clients to pro-actively identify and pursue ports and marine opportunities in the MEA region including Port Authorities, Government Agencies and Contractors; Support project teams and attend/present at key Client meetings and presentations as the ports and marine Subject Matter Expert representing Parsons; Maintain registration as a “Ports Engineering Services” consultant with relevant Authorities and Government Agencies; Liaise with practice leads to coordinate business strategies and Client management; Regularly meet and coordinate the ports and marine team to clearly define deliverables, deadlines and priorities for all projects; Perform Quality Assurance duties for all ports and marine designs and deliverables so that they are prepared to the proper quality standard and are fully coordinated with all relevant disciplines before submission to Clients. This will include liaison with practice leads to close any potential gaps in the design and agree interfaces between scopes of work; Liaise with project managers at project commencement to confirm scope, programme, phasing, level of effort is clear to the ports and marine team working on specific projects; Monitor and manage both proposal and project budgets; Maintain and update applicable references such as design codes, standards, guidelines and list of vendor products; Maintain and manage list of pre-qualified subconsultants and sub-contractors; Assure applicable ports and marine software licenses are renewed when required; Establish sustainability, digital technology and whole-lifecycle guidelines, criteria and targets to be adopted and applied to design and construction of marine works; Establish and execute a training/capacity building programme (including guidelines, workshops and presentations) for all those included in the ports and marine team in order that the established requirements and processes are understood by all and implemented in the most time-efficient manner; Manage a technical compliance measurement and reporting system, against agreed KPI’s for the design and delivery phases of all ports and marine projects and manage a “lessons learned” progreamme to drive continuous improvement. https://www.akhtaboot.com/en/uae/jobs/abu-dhabi/134238-Director-of-Ports—-Marine—MEA—at-PARSONS |
