• To provide leadership and direction to the Contractor Core Planning Team in providing Planning and Scheduling functions across all disciplines.
• All works to be planned in a cost effective manner in line compliance with the clients HSE & Quality Policies in safe manner to standards, codes and practices
• Prepare, review & submit to Client Turnaround Major Mile stones (Total and summary).
• Compile , Review & update Level-IV plans from the area-wise plans prepared by Area Planning Engineers and keep track monitor of overall master schedule
• Compile , Review & update Level-IV Schedule prepared by Scheduling Engineer and keep track of monitor overall master schedule
• Identify Subcontractor & specialist subcontractor requirement for Turnaround. Coordinate, meeting & finalization of subcontractor for Turnaround
• Generate and analyze standard reports related to progress, efficiency and cost on monthly basis and to raise flag alert to client in case of variation from standard benchmarks / budget
• Prepare and submit a recovery plan for any delayed critical activity for client review and approval
• Issues Monthly Reports and produces presentation for client on a monthly basis for various turnaround related requirements
• Develop, Maintain and Update Monthly Look Ahead and provide management with a clear and detailed picture for the next 3 month to 6 months
• Coordinates, update & follow up with all stake holders directly involved in the clients Turnaround for pending action as per monthly minutes of meeting
• Identify the long lead items needs to be ordered & interact with client for necessary action
• Follow-up with respective planning engineer of core team to complete all the material reservation as per Turnaround major milestone
• Follow-up with core team material Engineer for material delivery status & inform client if there are any issue with for any potential delivery delay.
• Project Execution Management:
• Lead, monitor, control and support the execution of oil and gas retrofit projects in Zone as per client specifications.
• Manage profit & loss of the project through cost cuttings and schedule management
• Propose subsequent budget changes to Manager Maintenance where necessary.
• Facilitate procurement negotiations to attain optimal discounts.
• Ensure optimization of the engineering design; Monitor project progress through progress reports from Site Incharges.
• Monitor project timelines and milestones achievement through regular follow-ups;
• Direct team to proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans;
• Monitor compliance to policies & procedures for relevant projects; Facilitate conflict management during the execution phase
• Client and Vendor Relationship Management
• Attend project scope clarification meetings with client and finalize project scope with other stakeholders;
• Facilitate conflict resolution to the client during all stages of the projects;
• Attend final negotiation meetings with major vendors to obtain best minimum cost and finalize contracts with vendors without compromising on quality;
• Reconcile complaints against Site Incharges; Along with Manager Maintenance participate in meetings & events invited by strategic clients and vendors.
• Proposal Development
• Discuss & finalize business opportunities with Manager Maintenance and Manager Proposals;
• Acquire retrofit project reports & summaries from proposals and share cost summaries;
• Provide information about the retrofit project and get project QHSE plans from QHSE;
• Internal Coordination with BU/SUPPORT FUNCTIONS
• Coordinate with HR for recruitment, transfers & training of the staff, discuss issues & HR requirements for retrofit project in zone;
• Coordinate with Head BU, Maintenance Manager, FC BU, and MAINTENANCE team to share information during retrofit project reviews;
• Share retrofit project P&L;reports with FC Zone, Manager Maintenance & treasury of MAINTENANCE , Facilitate relevant department /person for queries regarding difficulties in project execution;
• Provide feedback on work done by reporting team, guide & advise to increase productivity.
