Procurement Engineer

We have an interesting job opportunity with one of our global oil and gas clients, who are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer (to be based in the UAE), who shall be responsible for hands-on; managing bid cycles for equipment, material procurement and services. You will coordinate technical reviews of submitted proposals, lead and perform the supplier’s pre-qualification process, handle Purchase Orders & Contract’s negotiation, and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers.

This is not a managerial role. It is very much a hands-on role, however, looking for someone who can coach the team technically and develop procurement procedures.

Below is the required profile (with a strong preference given for candidate already based inside the UAE):
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering disciplines, or Business AdministrationMinimum 10 year’s work experience in Project Procurement in the oil & gas industry.Expertise in sourcing gas processing equipmentExcellent English language skills (verbal and written)Strong negotiation skillsStrong knowledge in sourcing and supplier management
