In this prospect, AKUO Energy has registered a company in Dubai which main objective is to become the trading entity for the group, negotiating large scale contracts with suppliers including but not limited to PV modules, and also to provide services for the group such as procurement services.
AKUO Energy Solutions is also engaged in the regional green energy market and aims to develop projects as an Engineering and Procurement Firm, in association with local Construction companies.
Job Description
As Senior Procurement Officer, the employee will be in charge to assist the managing director and contract manager of Akuo Energy with all trading and procurement activities of Akuo Energy Solutions (DMCC Branch) including but not limited to:
- Develop a purchasing / sourcing strategy specific to each project in coordination with the management team and the project manager
- Managing tendering procedures for equipment and/or services as required, in particular:
- Preparing tender package for the all trading and procurement division of Akuo Energy Solutions (including to ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliances in all the procurement transactions) and their follow up
- Analyze and produce a summary report of all steps of tender: the supplier identification, prequalification, shortlisting and submit to management the results.
- Handle the negotiations with the support of the management team for closing the deals with the preferred vendor / subcontractor
- Writing and/or reviewing the standard contracts format at his disposal, including typical procurement agreements and subcontracts of construction services
- Coordination with the Managing Director of Akuo Energy Solutions, the contract manager of Akuo Energy, the suppliers and the project managers for all trading and delivery matters, as well as logistics organization definition of the supplier
- Review the supplier / subcontractor performance and if needed determine penalties on execution of the contracts
- Create and maintain a monthly report on the trading / procurement activity and determining the cash flows on the projects according to the different terms negociated in the contracts
- When needed, to participate in the audits of new suppliers and maintain the assessment of the vendors / subcontractors to continue performing to their contractual obligations
As senior procurement officer, the employee will be responsible and accountable for the activity of the junior procurement officer, whose main duties focus on logistics/expediting/ordering, including but not limited to:
- Coordination with the forwarding agents, suppliers, counter test laboratories and any other third party involved to ensure that deadlines are met, with the highest level of quality in respect of the specifications given
- Preparing all documents needed during the phase of transportation or assessing the quality of the standard documents established by third parties including:
