Technical Buyer (Dubai)

Effectively manage the complete purchasing process of Fluid Control and / or Turbo Machinery Systems components, supporting Engineering and meeting the key project milestones and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete purchasing process from requisition to installation/assembly
• Work closely with stakeholders and keep them updated on the project schedule
• Technical understanding of the purchasing components and value addition
• Collaboration and close communication with Engineering and Turbo team on the technical aspects
• Lead the technical and commercial evaluation of vendors quotation, with engineering support wherever needed
• Support the inspection and quality checks upon delivery from the supplier
• Support the strategic objectives of purchasing: cost savings, improving quality and delivery performance
• Report project progress against established Key Performance Indicator targets
• Networking and communication with suppliers and other internal stakeholders • Monitor the Quality and Delivery performance of the supplier and track the timeline for the overall project

المهارات
Required Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience working within the purchasing department with technical value addition and similar functions of this job requirements
• Experience in procurement of components for Oil & Gas markets with specific material certificates and end user specifications
• Experience in technical specification and selection of instrumentation and components, including material and product knowledge
• Able to read and understand technical drawings & documents such as: P&ID;, GAD and Instrument Datasheets
• Good knowledge of Microsoft programs, data extraction and analysis including look ups and pivot tables
• Delivered actual cost savings or other efficiency benefits within the organization
• Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment
• Prior experience with Instrumentation Vendors is preferred
• Diploma or University Degree
• Member of CIPS and/or CILT is an advantage
• Any Qualification in Fluid Control and / or Turbo Machinery Systems instrumentation or mechanical engineering is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Fluid Control and / or Turbo Machinery Systems instrumentation
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers
• Ability to project a positive and professional image on behalf of the organization, always promoting ethical procurement
• Ability to solve problems independently, keen and able to use initiative and lead. • SAP knowledge preferred
