ROLE

The job is extremely fast-paced, client-facing (with potential in the future to be more so, depending on your ability to manage relationships), and will challenge you to juggle many different activities requiring varying shipments and collections internationally especially the Middle East and Africa.

Therefore, a successful Logistics Manager must have a strong work ethic, flexible work hours, excellent oral and written communication skills, outstanding analytical skills, and the necessary work experience. You must have had experience negotiating and coordinating the majority of the following services: flatbeds, drop trailers, expedited shipments (team drivers, same day requests, white glove / turnkey removal), e-waste transport, intermodal, cargo vans, drayage, warehousing, and specialty on-site services, among others. So building a scalable logistics will be crucial to your success.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, implement, and oversee product take back / reverse logistics programs to ensure products are recycled, reused, or responsibly disposed.
Develop and maintain strong functional relationships with Sales Department, Account Department and Partner Operations & Logistics.
Actively engage with relevant department heads to optimise all relevant working relationships
Ensure communications are timely, relevant, effective and meaningful and the most effective communication tools are used in the process.
Review and negotiate freight rates for all freight routes through effective negotiations
Create a track and trace document for all customers.
Actively manage customs classification for all collections to ensure correct duty is paid, working with design on new materials and identifying classification for these prior to collection.
Ensure all shipping and customs paperwork is filed correctly.
Ensure that old data is archived correctly.
Should anticipate extensive travel from UAE to Africa.

المهارات
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor Degree or higher in Logistics, Business Management or related field.
Minimum 2 years (preferably 5+ years) of experience directly in the Logistics field.
Extensive knowledge of commercial contracts/transactions for the transportation industry.
Extensive knowledge of Bill of Ladings, Pick Lists, Packing Lists, Weight Tickets, and other crucial material movement documents.
Pro-active personality and curious mind.
Effective interpersonal skills and organizational awareness.
Excellence in Excel and Word.
Proficiency in PPT.
Full UAE driving license.
