Main Accountabilities
Provides the customer with all the details regarding the dispatch of goods such as way bill no, estimated date of arrival etc, once the shipment has been picked from the warehouse. Prepares the job file and checks for all relevant documents, chargeable services and costs before forwarding the same to the Supervisor for final verification
Receives confirmed put away sheets from the Team Leader, forwards the same to the customer and updates the system accurately. Documents and highlights damages and discrepancies to the customer, in a timely manner.
Prepares and sends necessary documents to the nominated forwarding agency in a timely manner (If goods are not exported, arranges appropriate logistics for the delivery of goods to customers after the preparation of appropriate release documents).
Receives pre-alerts/ documents for inbound shipments, organizes and checks the import shipment documents while leasing with the shipping line informing the warehouse operations responsible person in a timely manner, thereby enabling the effective allocation of warehouse space. Follows up for timely clearances
Generates pick sheets for outbound shipments; ensures that the correct items are picked and packed as per customer requirements and category of goods and that the pick list is verified by the Warehouse Operations responsible person
Prepares necessary inbound & outbound status reports, stock movement, ageing report, billing and any other reports as required
Ensures that all cost information is available for billing within monthly timelines
Reporting
Checks for accuracy and reconciles inbound & outbound status reports, stock movement, ageing report, billing and any other reports as required
Billing
Ensures that all cost information is available for billing within monthly timelines
Others
Elevates potential issues and opportunities for improvement to the Warehouse Manager
Any other related duties/projects assigned by the Warehouse Manager from time to time in order to meet business needs

Experience
With a minimum of 2 to 3 years in a customer service environment within Logistics
Skills
Fluency in English (written and spoken), a must
