in façade industry
Job
Description
Responsible for preliminary
concepts for designs, and preliminary designs for estimation.
• Review structural
calculations, and confirm shop drawings.
• Meet with consultants when
required.
• Oversee engineering of
various facade systems.
• Review calculations
prepared by suppliers, and ensure their integrity with project specifications,
requirement, and local regulations.
• Propose technical solutions
and define them with the project design team, and highlight any relevant
issues.
• Provide engineering
recommendations for tender projects by identifying major technical issues,
relevant solutions and estimated engineering hours.
• Manage and review
outsourcing of calculations activities, if/when required.
• Understand clients’
requirements and priorities, and maintain durable relationships.
• Coordinate with clients,
architects, consultants, contractors and other team members
contractors and other project team members.
