Regional Development Manager – Middle East Wide
Reporting to: Sales Director (Middle East & India)
Salary: 30,000 + car + bonus/commission scheme
My client is globally recognised as one of the leading manufacturers of drainage systems. Products are used in the residential, commercial, civils and infrastructure sectors. Recently a new vacancy has opened for the role of Regional Business Development Manager based out of the Dubai MENA HQ office. Responsible for commercial, technical and specification sales of the Middle East range of products (Retail, Buildings and Civils) into key market territories (Kuwait, Bahrain, KSA).
This is a senior sales position leading strategic relationships with large and influential clients, consultants and contractors helping to identify, track and convert cross-range sales opportunities for company products.
Creation of future demand in the nominated territories to support product sales into the buildings and infrastructure markets.
A coordinated approach should be adopted with our Middle East & UK technical / marketing / commercial / manufacturing teams in order to ensure full compliance to company processes, procedures and technical guidelines.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and oversee a sales plan for key country territories, focusing on existing and new revenue streams for sustainable growth in line with the Middle East Vision
Develop and business plan and execute to achieve agreed sales and business goals to support the Middle East sales budget
Measured activities relating to specific sales and account management KPI’s
Management and development of strategic clients / customers
Project tracking and mapping through to conversion success
Achievement of sales targets relative to business planning
Strategic management major projects/customer accounts to achieve business goals
Recording of all activities via Salesforce CRM system
Candidate Criteria
An in-depth knowledge and proven track record of successful sales and business development within the construction/building materials sector is essential
A demonstrable ability to develop sales through a channel strategy is essential
At least 3 years in a senior sales/ management role essential
Proven and demonstrable success in developing sustainable and profitable growth in either a product or customer group is essential
Experience in handling high level clients and specifications sales essential
Experience in managing a sales team
Excellent communication and relationship skills
Be highly numerate and able to work with commercial strategies and frameworks
Basic financial understanding of P+L and cash flow desired
Strong business language skills (English essential, Arabic desired)
Computer literate, competent in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) as a basic requirement
Flexibility relative to ongoing business needs
Competent public speaker

Graduate who holds a degree in sales or business management desired or formal relevant engineering qualification
3 years in a senior sales / management position essential
Relevant and demonstrable experience of the construction products sector
Presentable and professional at all times
Ability to work as part of a team, be motivational, as well as being self-motivated
Proven leader and previous sales management experience essential
