• Take overall responsibility for the logistic section in the absence of the Purchasing & Logistics Manager
• Assist the Purchasing & Logistics Manager in ensuring smooth operations of Logistics activities.
• Direct, advise, coach, train, supervise and coordinate logistics staff in accordance with company HSE & financial strategies
• Implement and apply access policies/procedures to ensure access to Storage areas is restricted to Authorized personnel only.
• Supervise and ensure receiving inspection is conducted for all received material, all receiving checks are being performed and all discrepancies are being recorded and attended on time
• Implement and apply storage procedures and work instructions to ensure correct storage conditions (according to OEM, in house, legal & HSE requirements) for all Company and Customer Owned inventory stored in Company’s storage areas
• Implement and apply material handling policies/procedures to ensure correct material identification as well as proper stacking of material within Storage areas, proper handling of lifting equipment in line with regulatory and safety requirements.
• Monitor and manage the renewal of all mandatory permits for staff under direct supervision (driving license, forklift license, etc)
• Conduct daily floor walks to ensure compliance with policies as well ensure daily checklists are being filled in and presented by direct staff
• Implement and apply material flow processes to ensure FIFO principles are being applied across team.
• Oversee packing activity to determine guide team in regards to shipment priority
• Oversee security and general upkeep of warehouse including regular maintenance of equipment
• Develop staff back-up plans to ensure task continuity regardless of staff absence, including EFACS transaction coverage
• Provide regular Logistics information and performance reports
• Manage staff overtime usage to exceptional situations
• Responsible for the management and movement of tool containers as well as for the implementation and application of processes to ensure complete kitting and replenishment of tool containers in accordance to targets and standards set by internal procedures and work instructions.
• Administer the daily activities & schedule the workload of logistics team members under the instruction of the Purchasing & Logistics Manager.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics providers as/if required.
• Liaise with customers regarding inventory availability.
• Ensure physical inventory accuracy VS system records by ensuring all material movements are being recorded live and inventory counts are being conducted and discrepancies solved in a timely manner
• Show proactive attitude towards tasks as well as promote team spirit amongst team members
• Provide input during the annual staff appraisal process and ensure that all employees have a personal growth plan.
• Assist in the recommendation of staff succession plans.
• Be a member of target team and proactively ensure monthly targets are met.
• Other duties as assigned by the Purchasing & Logistics Manager.
المهارات
• Minimum 5 year experience in Warehouse operational environment
• Microsoft Office advanced user
• Good understanding of ERP systems; EFACS experience is an advantage
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Deadline oriented
