The Organization:
Our client is a holding company with their main activity in trade of agricultural commodities. They are starting a new business line completely focused on Chartering. For this new unit, they are hiring.
Duties & Responsibilities:
They are hiring a strong and independent Accountant responsible for the following:
• Manage and plan all freight account operations based on accounting principles;
• Prepare budget and financial forecast;
• Follow up and reporting of day to day receivables and outgoing remittances;
• Conduct month-end and year-end close process;
• Collect, analyse and summarize account information;
• Compute taxes, balance sheet, profit/loss statement in close contact with the freight operations team;
• Dealing with banks, vendors preparing daily payment orders and close follow up for execution of same within the same day;
• Payment processing and reconciliation;
• Bank reconciliation on monthly basis;
• Preparation of periodical cash flow reports;

Education & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role, preferably experience in shipping/logistics environment;
• Knowledge of accountancy, trade finance and business administration;
