Quest Search and Section is working with a growing payment solutions company, who are currently looking for a Senior Software Developer-Scala to join their dynamic team based in Dubai, UAE. The company is a multinational operating across various different continents and has been in the business for decades now.

Job Description:
Resolve customer issues with software solutions by creating innovative products and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancementsAnalyze business requirements/processes and system integration considerations to determine appropriate technology solutions for internal and external customersPrepare flow charts and systems diagrams to assist in problem analysisDesign, code, tests debug and document software according to company’s systems standards, policies and procedures, security and compliance requirementsUsing current programming language and technologies (SCALA, AKKA, PLAY), code and perform testing and debugging of applicationsComplete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenancePrepare test data for unit, string and parallel testingWork is guided by operational and project objectivesManage delivery of the payment product to assure compliance in ISO, PA-DSS & PCI-DSS

Requirements:
BA or BS (MSc preferred) degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered3+ years of relevant industry / academia experience in software engineering/architecture field2 + Years of Programming/Coding experience in SCALA2+ years’ experience in software coding and development for mobile commerce solution, emoney payments and other alternative payments methodsProgramming/Coding experience in one of the following Languages:, C, C++, Java and knowledge in their related Spring or Hibernate framework is a plus.Experience with relational and non-relational (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, COUCHBASE, Cassandra, etc.) data storesKnowledge on XSL, XML Parsing, XpathExperience in developing web services with SOAP and RESTExperience in distributed caching, distributed key-value and document data stores, data replication & conflict resolution, scale-out fault tolerance and data-layer reliabilityExperience in distributed caching, distributed key-value and document data stores, data replication & conflict resolution, scale-out fault tolerance and data-layer reliabilityGood knowledge of cryptography, key management and security solutions on both mobile and server side with understanding of security protocols and cryptography including PKI, SSL, RSA, authentication, encryption, digital signaturesExperience in using PCI-DSS frameworkExperience in software coding and development for mobile commerce solution, e-money, payments and related offerings
