Principal Objective:Provide innovative urban design solutions in-line with the City’s Vision for both community and industrial areas of the CityThis position retains performance responsibility of SAPL personnel working in support of the department activities, ensuring that work of support staff conforms with department needs and standards.Major Activities Performed:Ability to represent the Department in executive management, department and external consultant meetings as necessary.Coordinate with other Departments and Divisions in the implementation of the current and future Master Plan deliverables and initiatives.Review and approve reports detailing urban design policy updates and other amendments as part of the required amendments to the Jazan 2040 Master Plan.Provide innovative urban design solution and graphic design packages for a range of community and industrial land uses.Demonstrate a high proficiency in the use of current design software including AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, and Illustrator.Be able to work under pressure to meet key design targets and project milestonesProvides expert urban design advice on development assessment and private sector investment proposals. Manage the development of detailed technical plans, drawing detailing technical layouts and locations of land specific uses and facilities with the City area (Industrial & Community), in line with the City’s vision.Assist in establishing, implementing, monitoring and enforcing departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures.Actively participate in relevant coordination meetings and provide direction in daily operations to all sections and departments staff to manage output and products in accordance with the department objectives.Supervise the allocation of investor proposals in industrial, commercial and residential development areas and zones according to planning regulations and policies.Oversee the production of land-use drawings, technical drawings and zoning maps updates due to changing client and investor’s needs and requirements.Coordinate with various departments in order to promote and deliver the Urban Planning Department Program.Review and approve reports detailing land utilization, land availability and demographic statistics.

المهارات
Bachelor Degree in Urban Planning or relevant field from a credited institution.Preferably, Master’s Degree in Urban Design.Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in the field of urban design and industrial facilities/cities planning. Some Middle Eastern experience will be preferred. With a minimum of 5 years of direct urban design experience in developing urban design solutions for residential, commercial, city center, recreation/open space and industrial neighborhoods etc.Key Technical Skills:Well rounded experience in Urban Design and City/industrial planning. Experience with urban planning development assessment processes and compliance regulations.Experience in planning the infrastructure for industrial and residential cities.Conversant with survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.Relevant computer proficiency, extensive experience in CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Packages and other relevant graphic based softwares. Proficient time management, communication and interpersonal skills. Advanced knowledge of English Language – Spoken and Written, knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
