Our client is a leading manufacturing company; part of a successful and multi-line conglomerate in UAE, operating in the fields of shipping, construction, food-imports, general trading, travel & other industries. They are seeking to recruit a “General Manager - Furniture” for their offices in Dubai, UAE. The “GM” will be reporting to the President (Contracting & Services).

*Manage the functions of all projects until satisfactory closing indicated by project duration, budget and client satisfaction*Oversee the evolution of project concept, design, scope complexities to draw down estimation and implementation plan*Supervise the process of understanding the project scope and complexities to ensure very meticulous estimation and submit proper competitive bid*Negotiate and finalize the contract with coordination with owners, consultants and contractors to effectively initiate the project*Coordinate and lead the team from material procurement, manufacturing, contract completion to installation and handing over to ensure smooth running of the project*Lead interim meetings to control projects executions for completion within time, quality and budget*Supervise and approve any project variations in scope, time or specifications to take corrective measure where necessary*Manage all elements of revenues and costs for all projects in hand to maximize overall profitability*Check occupational safety against high standards to ensure a safe environment for workers, customers and the environment, as well as maintain high corporate ethics and integrity*Bachelor in civil & mechanical engineering or architecture*Between 15 – 20 years of experience
