We are a group of high-end Mexican restaurants to simultaneously open in three prestigious and upscale locations in Downtown Dubai, The Point (The Palm) and Bluewaters Island Dubai. To leverage our team, we need a Head Chef who is in charge of the kitchen and participate in overseeing the preparation and execution of all our menu items.
You will need to be dedicated to the food quality and set high standards for your subordinates. Your primary duty is the continued efficiency of the kitchen and production of consistent, quality food. As Head Chef, you play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
● Professionally active and involved in every aspect of the kitchen operation.
● Supervise, direct and guide all staff under your supervision.
● Check and authorize duty rosters as per established business patterns and occupancy levels
● Help in the preparation and design of all food menus.
● Ensure that prescribed food preparation and service procedures area carried out in detail, correcting any deviations through constant on-the-job training.
● Responsible for ensuring that wastage and spoilage is kept to a minimum.
● Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards.
● Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
● Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
● Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards at all times.
● Maintain a positive and full of energy attitude always.
● Approving and “polishing” dishes before they reach the customer
● Encourage respect and trust with the decisions taken by the Management.
Guest Experience
● As you will be in view of guests you need to ensure positive energy with a smile.
● Greet guests upon arrival and encourage the kitchen team to do the same.
● Obtain and analyse feedback from guests and staff to ensure an excellent Guest Experience
المهارات
Minimum 2 years experience as Head Chef in Dubai from fine dining restaurants or five-star hotels
Candidates with valid BFH and PIC levels 1 and 2 certifications are preferred
Experience in Mexican cuisine is an advantage
Spanish-speaking is an advantage but not required
