The Buying Manager will be responsible for developing strategic buying plans for the footwear category whilst managing a team of 8. They will also ensure smooth buying operations through vendor identification, evaluation and selection, in compliance with the contract principles.

Description
Determine buying requirements and formulate buying plan and budget for the assigned department/categoryAlign the buying plan to the overall department/category business plan and the merchandize strategy as laid down by the department/ category managerDevelop an adequate vendor base for the concept through active scouting and negotiation / renegotiationBuild and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers and negotiate the best deals with them for procuring merchandiseDevelop talent within Ladies Department and Support team by providing consistent direction and support to achieve stretch targets and take leadership positionsRetain and engage the talent employed and build a collaborative and high performance team

12 - 15 Years experience buying experienceNetworking skillsNegotiation skillsFootwear buying experience (ESSENTIAL)Previous experience managing a team of buyers
