Our client an International EPC has a requirement for a Technical Sales Engineer based in the UAE.
Duties include:
• Technical and commercial vetting of all customers technical and commercial proposals/quotations prior to submission to ensure the appropriate equipment/ services are being proposed to customer at acceptable technical and commercial terms to EFX inclusive of contract risk
• Work with Regional Sales staff to present proposals and quotation to customers, reviewing technical and commercial issues and ultimately help secure contract
• Own and be an integral part of the project lifecycle, perform regular follow up with the customer and ensure their satisfaction. Perform regular sight visits on current and future opportunities
• Assist in finding opportunities & grow the market hare of the company’s products in the Assist in developing the department strategy and implementing it
• Conduct and / or oversee the design, selection, and costing of equipment / units, both internally and externally (i.e. sub-vendors) Provide customer support to sales via bid clarification meetings, pre-bid technical meetings, negotiation meetings, etc
• Liaise / coordinate with both internal resources (Project Team, sales, Service etc.) as well as external (i.e. clients, subvendors, etc) to develop relationships
• Ensure scope definition, technical / commercial accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of proposals
• Participate in an effective cost improvement and savings program for purchased materials and services
• Comply with the company’s HR, Quality, HSE, and all the Company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager
المهارات
• Minimum Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications and experience
• Minimum 3+ Experience with both Sales and Applications process
• Customer-centric, able to maintain satisfied customer relationships and is profit focused
• 2 to 3 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably with rotating / process equipment Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship building skills Strong analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Accountable with the ability to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
• Proficient with MS Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to achieve excellent performance in individual and team environments
• Demonstrated ability for on-time performance in a fast-paced work environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be self- motivated, quick learner and team oriented, capable of managing time, priorities, and operates well under pressure with little supervision
