Job Description and Requirements Stantec Dubai is currently seeking an Urban Planner. Keys Tasks and Duties include: • Undertakes urban planning assignments for communities, towns, cities, and regions including master planning of communities involving land use, housing, mobility, urban design infrastructure, public realm, amenities and other elements. • Creates and adapts development guidelines and codes, zoning guidelines and regulations to guide growth, development and management of communities. • Knowledge of smart cities and related applications and solutions a plus. • Conduct research, benchmarking, compiles, and analyzes economic, social, physical and regulatory data and information. • Confers with local authorities, civic leaders, social scientists, and land planning and development specialists to devise and recommend arrangements of land and physical facilities for residential, commercial, transportation, industrial, and community uses. • Prepares, coordinates, and facilitates community engagement and consensus-building. • Prepares graphic rich presentations and reports. • Coordination with multiple parties including internal teams, external consultants, and the client. Title: Urban Planner Qualifications: • 10-12 years total experience • Masters’ degree in Urban Planning, or City and Regional Planning or related field, Bachelors in Architecture preferred • Bi-lingual English and Arabic is a plus. • Experience in UAE, GCC region and MENA is a plus. • Proficiency in GIS, Excel, and other software. • Excellent written, presentation and oral communications skills • A team player with the ability to work and complete tasks with minimal supervision Job Category: Architecture |
