The purpose of the Deputy Head of Venue Management is to lead integrated central planning within the Venue Management functional area ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders and the wider organisation. This role will include leading the critical path programme planning and delivery, training and manpower planning, medical operations, emergency management, special event planning, site wide systems integration management and coordination and management of the site wide C3 approach and delivery.
The main responsibilities of this role will include:
- Assist in the approach and delivery of operational planning for the Venue Management functional area and wider Operations departments ensuring that internal stakeholders are aligned and consistent in their Site, Zonal and Venue planning;
- Lead on the Integrated Venue Timeline (IVT) by Wworking with the Real Estate & Design, IOO, Site Logistics, Technology and the Site Management team ensuring alignment of the handover from construction period to operational delivery;
- Support where necessary the requirements of key external partners e.g. Dubai Police, DCAS, DCD and commercial partners;
- ManageSupport manpower planning, recruitment and training planning and operations for the Venue Management function;
- Provide input into the Participant Guidelines in conjunction with other Functional Areas and ensure a collaborative approach;
- Ensure the Venue Management Functional Area Operating Plan and service design is delivered as planned and there is awareness and education throughout the organization;
- Oversee Support the management and delivery of all operational ICT related projects such as development of the Command & Control Platform;
- Manage on the delivery of all C3 planning principles for the delivery of event time site operations;
- Manage on the operational planning and delivery of the Main Operations Centre (MOC);
- Manage on all Emergency Management planning including site wide emergency response and stakeholder engagement;
- Ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to, specifically to include all responsibilities and accountabilities associated with the Expo 2020 Health and Safety Policy and assurance standards.
المهارات
10+ years in a senior role working within the event management industry, or with specific experience related to venue/event planning:
- Bachelor’s Degree within a relevant field;
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural organisation, GCC region/Dubai desirable;
- Strong experience in working with senior multi agency partners and stakeholders with an ability to engage, influence and build a network;
- Strong facilitation and influencing skills;
- Programme / project manager experience supporting large complex projects;
- Knowledge across all key event management operations;
- Designing and influencing service levels against predefined services, and planning transition to operations.
