Our client is now recruiting for a Head - Business Development & Marketing. You will be directly reporting to the Director
Job Purpose:
The position is responsible for achieving the revenue and profitability targets set for the Freight Forwarding and Logistics business. The candidate needs to be based in Dubai and will be responsible for the complete functioning of the profit center.
Key Responsibilities:
• Excellent knowledge of Freight Forwarding & Logistics in UAE as well as international markets
• The candidate should possess warehouse marketing experience
• Responsible for securing new customers, maintaining and developing existing accounts
• Warehousing & Marketing activities in GCC Countries
• Carry out sales activities with a focus on increased revenue and profit margins
• Must have through understanding of the 3PL/4PL logistics
• Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence, globally
• Build strong relationships with industry professionals, competitors, vendors and peers
• Ensure the maximum profitability of each new contract in line with agreed service levels and contractual obligations.
• Be able to feel the pulse of the industry
• Be aware of market trends through market research and customer client visits
• Manage all customer service levels to ensure total customer satisfaction
• Follow specified systems, processes and procedures, implemented in the workplace, to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and other requirements/standards
• Respond to all sales enquiries within 24 hours, to client, either domestic or international
• Expected to handle end to end sales and marketing activities
• Provide weekly updates on sales activities to the Director
• Manage and report sales and marketing statistics and analytics to the Management
Requirements:
• 8-12 years of experience in freight sales, preferably from a Logistics/Freight Forwarding background in that 4-6 years UAE experience is mandatory
• Post-graduation in MBA - Logistics or MBA - Marketing is mandatory
• Must have a valid UAE driving license
Skills and Competencies:
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work under stress
• Problem solving skills 4. Experience in branding, digital marketing is an added advantage 5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
