Job Description and Requirements
Summary:
The Specialist, Operations Technology introduces value to the team with his/her knowledge of business and technical product configuration expertise, to deliver the full business value.
The Operations Technology team has, under its remit, applications such as Simcorp Dimension, and specialist applications for Corporate Actions, Accounting, Master Data Management and Fees Management.
The required skills include reliable business solution design and product configuration capabilities on Simcorp Dimension or equivalent asset management applications.  Along with business skills, the candidate will have techno-functional build capability, which is a key requirement of this role.
This role works in close collaboration with business stakeholder and management of organizational investments and services departments such as Operations, Internal Audit, Accounts and Investment Services.
The Specialist will also work closely with the various IT divisions including Enterprise Architecture, Service Delivery and Support, Infrastructure and Business Analysts.
Solid investment business skills, capability to context switch and handle multiple assignments, good personal work management capabilities, team skills and prudent decision making are key expectations of the role

Education and Experience:

Bachelors’ Degree is required, ideally in business or related field.  Simcorp Academy certification preferred.
Relevant qualification or experience in application build within an investment domain (such as Equity with a blend of Performance, Risk, Accounting, Compliance, Settlements) is required.
Minimum 7+ years’ experience as a technology configuration specialist, on Simcorp or an equivalent system, in a buy-side Investment firm
Has participated in high-impact application build environments that involve applications with a wide footprint, complex interfaces and information flows across multiple core and satellite systems.
Has good working knowledge of governance applications such as Microsoft Team Foundation Server, MS Project and Remedy.
Has experience in project management, managing small projects.  Can deliver work using appropriate project methodologies.
