We are working with a leading retail conglomerate in the Middle East as they seek for a Junior Buyer to join their team in Dubai. The candidate should have a background in retail, ideally in the footwear category.
As a Junior Buyer, you will:
- Assist the team in executing buying plans for the product lines
- Assist the team in preparing calendar and assortment plans
- Collaborate with key internal teams (e.g. design team, retail operations, production team) to ensure alignment on buying / planning objectives and KPIs
- Keep abreast with latest market trends and competitor activities
- Prepare and submit relevant buying / purchasing reports on a regular basis
- Perform admin related and other ad hoc tasks
Desirable skills and background:
- Bachelor’s degree, with at least 2 years’ experience in similar role
- Experience as a Buyer in or shoewear or fashion retail categories
- Strong project management and administrative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter, well-organized, detail-oriented, can work independently and/or with a team
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
