Applications are invited for the position of Project Coordinator – Expo 2020 - Reports to: VP – Expo 2020 - Department: Commercial Reporting to the VP Expo, this role will be responsible for co-ordinating to ensure that all project streams are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. This includes developing and monitoring project plans and schedules, working with vendors, internal staff and clients for completion within budget, cost and timelines set. Key Accountabilities (Internal) - Develop the Project Execution Plan, including realistic timeframes to facilitate planning and implementation. Proactively recommend changes to the Project Execution Plan to ensure milestones are in line with contracted deliverables. - Gather progress updates from internal stakeholders for fortnightly Expo Steering Meeting for each project stream and prepare PPT for presentation. - Act as liaison between project team and management to report and escalate risks and issues as needed. - Assist the Senior Expo Team in preparing the weekly & monthly reports on all revenue-based activities. - Propose improvements to work methods and procedures, which will help to reduce overheads and increase sales. - Participate in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures and represents the Expo team in Quality Audits if required. - Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including local and international government entities, ensuring a high level of professionalism in representing EKFC. - Assist in the coordination of rosters for all F & B functions across the site and find efficiencies between the business streams. - Perform regular quality checks on all F & B outlets across the expo site and prepare audit reports for Senior Expo Team to review in line with EKFC quality standards. Essential Requirements and Competencies Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification - Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2) Experience: - 4-5 years of relevant experience including experience in Project Management - Experience in tracking schedules and budgets - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Project, PPT - Experience of being part of a team to deliver to tight and immovable deadlines Skills: - Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities - Excellent organizing and leadership skills - Commercial awareness - Have the capacity to grasp new concepts quickly - Ability to assimilate with other department owners and to ensure an integrated approach to planning - Pragmatic and practical with a clear eye on solutions to deliver excellent results - Flexible & adaptable through organizational growth - Resilient & positive through change - Approachable and friendly - Ability to promote and foster a team culture where values such as excellence, hard work, service to stakeholders, honesty, integrity and achievement are paramount
