The purpose of the role of Head of Operations is to lead on the management and daily operational requirements to support the Production function in their delivery of performances during Expo2020.  The main responsibilties of the role include: - Work with the Director Production & Delivery to ensure the coordinated delivery of all support venues across the Expo 2020 Site, including driving the completion of design, resourcing, planning, procurement, scheduling, and project management; - Work with the PDY main contractor to implement the operational plans and systems ensuring the function is adequately resourced and staff and volunteers are suitably experienced and trained; - Lead the development of systems and procedures to deliver the logistical operation required to move artists, crew and equipment around the site as needed as well as develop a robust network of third-party vendors that would serve as service providers for services not covered by Expo 2020 internal teams; - Lead in the definition of the guest journey to ensure a seamless experience for all artist and crew that will be processed through the Main Production Compound and other support spaces in their delivery of scheduled performances during the event; - Work with the Director Production & Delivery to manage delivery of the performance support venues across the Expo 2020 Masterplan and lead in operational planning and modelling to develop Operating Manuals for each support venue, in coordination with Event Operations, and defining SLAs for service provision of FOH and BOH services, HSE, and any other required services, including the integration of 3rd party service providers; - Manage the implementation of Operating Manuals and documentation and systems for each support venue working in partnership with event operations and other Expo 2020 teams; - Develop and implement a command and control mechanism for all support venues including risk assessment, scenario planning, response strategies etc. and integrating same in the Venue Operations FA C3 system; - Support coordination with key internal stakeholders including all Event Operations Functional Areas (Venue Management, Accreditation, Logistics CWM etc.), Programming, HSE and Security for the successful delivery of events.
المهارات
15+ years of experience in production delivery and operation of visitor attractions, theatres, event venues, music and live venue show production,as well as:
- A Bachelor’s Degree within a relevant field;
- Ability to multi-task and process information efficiently;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to communicate clearly and delegate project;
- Project production / management qualification.
