Responsible for performing Inspections, generating reports/ certificates, updating asset register of Lifting Appliances and Gears Inspection & Certifications in accordance with Drydocks World Dubai Policies and Procedures. Communicate and remind departments/process owners of Lifting Appliances and Gears about Inspection schedule. Perform Inspections by coordinating with Department Inspection Assistants as per the Inspection Plan. Perform Lifting Gear Inspections as per DDWD Procedures Provide Inspection Feedback to Senior Inspector – Lifting Appliances and Gears for further actions Update Lifting Appliances and Gears asset register based on the Inspection Results. Provide inputs/feedback to the Senior Inspector – Lifting Appliances and Gears for improving the system and proceduresAssist the Third Party Inspectors for performing Lifting Appliance Inspections. rovide inputs to Senior Inspector – Lifting Appliances and Gears for preparing reports and updates. Assist Senior Inspector – Lifting Appliances and Gears while liaising with EIAC/ DAC other statutory bodies, clients etc. for audits and assessments Perform other tasks related to Lifting Appliances and Gears Inspection & Certification as instructed by Senior Inspector – Lifting Appliances and Gears. Act on behalf of Senior Inspector – Lifting Appliances and Gears on his/her absence. Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed. Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.
المهارات
Engineering Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical. Certification in Lifting Appliances & Gears Inspection from an accredited body. Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Inspector in Inspection and Certification of Lifting Appliances and Geara. Knowledge and experience in Lifting Gears and Appliances Inspection & Certification from an accredited Inspection Body. Sound knowledge in EIAC/DAC requirements, ISO 9001, ISO 17020, Industry /International Standards related to Lifting Gears and Appliances. Knowledge in developing specific procedures, checklists and methodologies for each kind of Lifting Gears. Proficiency in use of MS Office applications with good typing skills.
