The role of the Production Associate Director is to work closely with the Curator of Visual Art Programme on managing and overseeing the production of the artworks and the shipment and installation of the artworks.  Act as the nexus between the Curator, Exhibition Designer, Lighting Designer, Consultant Project Manager to integrate the artistic requirements, the technical and operational requirements of the artworks, whilst also considering the contractual obligations with each artist; and act as key representative of the Visual Arts Programme during the operational period of the Expo 2020. The main responsibilities for this role include: - Pro-actively champion the various visual arts forms to the relevant stakeholders, to ensure it rallies their interest and translates into compelling experiences, initiatives and presentations; - Mobilize stakeholders as delivery partners; - Articulate with relevant expo partners and international participants the visual arts narrative to ensure a unique visitor journey; - Manage the strategy for visual arts activation across the site, including for Expo 2020 Dubai and participants (i.e. countries, corporates and others) to ensure an exceptional experience and a lasting legacy; - Working closely with all the artists and artist studios to coordinate all production needs on site and elsewhere when necessary; - Planning the production on site before, during and after the installation period; - Planning the precise installation plan that coordinate, shipments, installation and lighting; - Working/ communicating closely with the artists on the production process and schedule.
المهارات
11+ years of experience working in a similar position as well as;
- A Bachelor’s Degree within a relevant field;
- Operational knowledge over a wide range of artistic domains but specifically on the visual arts;
- Knowledge of the global and of the local and regional arts and culture scene;
- Development of wide reaching popular and educational programs focusing on visitor experience & engagement;
- Visual Arts Industry GCC and UAE knowledge;
- Experience in managing and supervising large and complex art related projects;
- Experience in working with Artists.
