To drive analytics roadmap and strategy in Shopping Malls
To integrate and streamline analytics efforts across the organization
To inculcate the analytics way of thinking into the daily operations across the company
To drive the consolidation of use cases and business intelligence reports & dashboards across the company
Strategy
Set and communicate the analytics and BI vision and strategy
Clearly communicate strategy, agenda, priorities, ways of working to senior leaders, unit members and relevant stakeholders
Re-configure/Hire/Elevate resources to build the Shopping Malls Analytics Unit
Own the analytics maturity assessment to objectively understand current state and set future state
Establish convergence (standardization of analytical problem solving, data, tech, people practices and adoption of common language – change management), cross-leverage (Leveraging data assets, analytical assets, tools and processes from across business functions and establishing global benchmarks) and collaboration (Right organizational structure and governance to share knowledge and scale)
Initiate capability building and change management through workshops
Set-up (or leverage current) communities of practice (Insights, Data Science) for value cross-pollination
Analytics Roadmap and delivery
Act as an idea incubator for new use cases; identifying new business needs, bringing innovation, and assessing & prioritizing among new use cases
Drive the analytics agenda through orchestration of entire unit - Streamlining ideation, creation & consumption lifecycle across use case spectrum
Develop and own use case masterplan, proactively updating it with new initiatives and delays in the existing initiatives
Formulate use case definition; objective, approach, deliverables, timeline and expected impact
Codify knowledge into “playbooks” to ensure smooth scaling of use cases
Establish a structured framework for BI and use case lifecycle (Charters, Gantt, Squad, Governance, Milestones etc.)
Set up squads for Proof of Concept, develop the methodology for Minimum viable product, manage the backlog, run pilots and measure impact from pilots
Ensure delivery of use cases internally, through Holding Centre Of Excellence or external partners , including quality assurance, test & learn, and knowledge transfer
Measure, align on, and track the impact against the masterplan
Align and Initiate BI platforms requirements and work streams (or re-align any ongoing work into this framework)
Data strategy
Own definition and implementation of Data strategy, in relation with Holding COE
Establish thorough data feasibility assessment and definition of success for each initiative
Ensure Data strategy needs are assigned to their respective owners
Set-up governance to set and gate-check milestones for all data initiatives
Human Capital Responsibilities
Ensure the implementation of the performance management process
Provide mentorship for the purpose of developing a continuous talent pipeline for key roles
Identify training needs and coordinate with the HC department to ensure facilitation of training requirements
Oversee the development and implementation of on the job-training
Ensure constant availability of the required competent staff to support the organization in meeting all its responsibilities, plans, and objectives
Provide inputs while developing MAF Shopping Malls’ corporate policies and relevant procedures, and monitor the implementation
Finance Responsibilities
Monitor allocated budget to ensure compliance and take corrective measures when necessary
Provide inputs on the development of annual budget
Review financial reports for accuracy and consistency
Develop necessary measures towards continuous reduction of the operational cost
Set up of the Shopping Malls Analytics Unit by end 2019
Value realization from existing use cases
Proper governance mechanism for all existing analytics use cases
Clear analytics use case roadmap for future
Alignment across the company on the analytics roadmap and ways of working
Set up of an analytics platform for sharing ideas across the organization

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is a preference
Degree in a quantitative subject preferred (Analytics, Engineering, Math, Statistics)
Minimum experience
10+ years in a professional multinational company
8+ years managing projects
5+ years in Analytics
