Role Purpose: Develop M-Logo Sales growth by enabling physical solutions while achieving the lowest distribution cost for the import/export via UAE / Direct Factory to countries + Between MAF Countries
Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Logistics Optimization
Help define, maintain and implement the Supply Chain (Import/Export operations procedures.
SOP application by ensuring the respect product carton marking Supply Chain Guidelines by easing EAN 14 case barcode compatible with future sorter in DC (training to Merchandise & to suppliers).
Ensure the correct application of scope of applications by logistics service providers
Deploy solutions to lower our distribution costs with suppliers (backhauling with supplier, full pallet receiving with EAN 128 labels, cross-docking with sorters)
Implement the developed logistics plan and ensure its consistency with the international plan
Ensure that contracts with logistics providers are in line with current business practices, propose modifications to improve the quality of services
Ensure all store orders are well executed by DC and are delivered on time to stores at the lowest cost
Implement the Strategic flow set-up per type of commodity/origin.
Guide the Merchandise team to reach 100% container optimization for each new import items/supplier in weight/volumes (palletization type, removing empty pallets, goods stacking method)
Be a warrant of the logistics Data accuracy for each item (unit, carton, pallet) on the systems.
Support the implementation of the new copacking facility in our DC to bundle commodities as per customer demands following procurement of raw materials
Reporting
Ensure proper reporting and documentations for all import / export operations procedures
Ensure that KPI’s provided by logistics service providers meet the targets defined
Guarantee the information provided to finance is accurate and given on time
Ensure that the export logistics services providers upload accurate information and documents in the Export Transport System
Ensure that goods are exported on time at the expected dates with the right quantities, good quality and in the most efficient way to meet country requests
Supplier Interactions
Participate in the supplier sourcing by ensuring suppliers are well aware of import guidelines and rules to respect and implement actions to achieve the lowest distribution cost to the company.
Administrative
Propose solutions to merchandise team to import and export products
Follow-up of the clearance process to ensure the release of the goods in the fastest manner
Ensure the implementation of local regulations in import and export activities and anticipate their evolution
Share the database of exportable range ingredients and specifications list for new and updated items
Maintain the list of countries documentation requirements and ensure the documentation used is compliant to destination country regulations
Provide accurate information to Merchandise Manager in the country and destination countries
Maintain the ordering to delivery calendar updates for all promotional events
Propose measures to reduce insurance risks for the company
Control that store claims are treated and answered to the stores
Develop and maintain a database to record different barcodes for relevant stakeholders
Oversee the standardization process of barcodes and other database metrics
Financial Responsibilities
Calculate the landed costs, ensuring they are consistent with the actual costs and convey this information to the merchandise team and propose solutions to reduce landed costs with same quality of services.
Control the import and logistics waste and propose actions to reduce it
Calculate the Total Logistics Cost from supplier to receiving per BU to validate the best flow (Direct, DC)
Benchmark logistics and freight forwarders and propose alternative
Human Capital Responsibilities
Assist with the implementation of the performance management process by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and provide constructive feedback and provide inputs to senior management
Provide mentorship for the purpose of developing a continuous talent pipeline for key roles
Provide inputs on training needs and coordinate with the HC department to ensure facilitation of training requirements
Develop and implement on the job-training for the team
Provide inputs for the development of annual manpower plan
Ensure the implementation of MAF Retail’s corporate policies and relevant procedures
المهارات
Minimum Qualifications/education
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or relevant
Minimum experience
+8 years in a similar position from a Logistics Provider/Freight-forwarder/Retailer/FMCG Supplier
