Associate - Expo Live

In line with the ambition of Expo Live, the purpose of the role is to support the design and the implementation of Exposure, the showcase arm of Expo Live. The aim of the role is to deliver on the content exhibits, programming, communications, project management and stakeholder management with a portfolio approx. 200 of high impact social innovations as inspirational Global Innovators to Expo 2020 Dubai. The main responsibilities of this role will include: - Content guardian, custodia and content scouting with filtering assessment of what to source and what to produce; - Content dispatcher, distribution according to the time and place mapping; - Maintain a comprehensive digital archiving system and be able to locate and retrieve information from files as directed; - Liaison and collaboration with the assigned Expo Live and Expo 2020 inter-dependencies (i.e. content and programming team, international participants, Thematic, events…); - Receives, tracks and responds to high volume inquiries and requests for stored records from internal and external agencies in a timely manner; - Processes raw images using the appropriate software; -Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents, as needed.
المهارات
1+ years of experience in relevant domain, as well as:
- A Bachelor degree in archival science, library science, or a related area of study that includes a concentration in archives or in film studies, photography, or a related field that includes emphasis upon archival preservation;
- Knowledge of standard collection management, documentation, and preservation practices and procedures;
- Copywriting skills, flexibility and strong communication skills;
- Ability to listen and willingness to learn, especially as it pertains to ensure that UAE culture and other key thematic elements are carefully incorporated on the site;
- Experience processing, handling, and/or researching archival collections in a museum/exhibition, archive, or library setting, particularly with large collections;
- Thorough understanding of the preservation, care of photographs and thorough knowledge of modern archival theory, archival standards and practices.
