Job Description and Requirements
Position Purpose: :
The role is to direct/control end-to-end supply chain process to ensure stocks are delivered and replenished in stores in line with processes and procedures/SOPs, and manage logistics across the operation of the organization
Position Responsibilities:
Define and implement Supply Chain strategy, policies and processes across the company
Prepare and implement the financial budget for the Supply Chain department and develop key performance indicators for each category in line with corporate objectives
Negotiate and fix rate contract with freight forwarders to ensure shipments are done in the most cost effective way
Ensure complete documentation is in place for contracts with various forwarders
Ensure clearly defined SOPs are in place and distributed to suppliers and ensure the necessary documentation for shipment, customs clearance etc. in each territory
Set up effective systems and SOPs in warehouse and control store returns and damages
Improve the efficiency in delivery from warehouse and implement cost saving measures in logistics and warehouse
Ensure complete inventory control on warehouse and 3PL operations, ensuring minimum shrinkage
Ensure optimum productivity from warehouse personnel and optimum utilization of warehouse space.
Monitor and review stock availability and replenishment performance stores and category teams with regular reports to management team
Implement a system of Perpetual Inventory in warehouse and 3PL
Monitor and review to ensure supplier deliveries schedules are on track and report to management team ensuring processes are in place and corrective action is taken when service level agreements are not met
Investigate and resolve long-standing or complex store delivery problems
Monitor and review stock availability and replenishment performance for stores and category teams with regular reports to management team
Work closely with the IT team to ensure support systems effectively deliver supply chain requirements
Identify opportunities for process improvement in areas such as vendor management, stock replenishment and implement necessary changes
Lead , coach, and manage the performance of staff in line with good people management practices
Position Requirements:and
Bachelor degree
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Supply chain operations in Electronics/commodities trading
Previous management required
Managed a team
