HR Generalist for the Middle East & Maghreb region – 6 Month Maternity Cover:
An amazing opportunity to support the HR Operations function for a global leader in the fascinating world of Flavours & Fragrances, based in our Dubai office and focussing on the Middle East and Maghreb region - Your future position?
Due to an upcoming maternity leave for 6 months, we currently have a temporary full-time vacancy for an ‘HR Generalist’ role with our small, friendly, and fabulous HR Operations team in Dubai beginning approximately around April 2020 until September 2020.
As a key member of our local HR Operations team, you will proactively support the business in all HR related topics throughout the entire employment life cycle from onboarding till exit. In this role you will be responsible for providing HR Generalist support for - driving the employee life cycle, building strong relationships with line managers and employees, payroll processing, compliance, supporting the HR team in all HR related activities and ongoing projects, and acting as a trusted advisor for all HR processes and programmes for our Flavours & Fragrances businesses and teams based in the Middle East and Maghreb region. The role will be based in our Dubai Media City office and will report into the Regional HR Business Partner.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
HR Management:
• With guidance, provide human resources generalist support to mid-level managers.
• Identify trends/issues that require resolution and involves appropriate resources.
• Support organisational effectiveness function through team building and goal/role clarification.
• Participate in people management activities for defined scope including involvement in performance management and compensation review annual processes.
• Partner with the Talent Acquisition CoE team process and participate in the selection process to ensure the quality of personnel hired and compliance with law requirements.
• Provide on-site consultation and administration including annual merit and incentive cycles, performance reviews, and benefits enquiries. Ensure fair and competitive positioning of salaries through internal equity and external market analysis.
HR Processes:
• Contribute to defining clear roles and responsibilities, and streamlined internal HR processes.
• Promote effective and proactive use of people management practices and systems and provide value-added reporting enabling managers to make more effective, fact-based and timely decisions.
Employee Relations:
• Provide employee relations counsel to managers and employees on HR matters including performance, discipline, organisational decisions, and career development.
• Manage complex Employee Relation issues and ensures key HR business processes are implemented effectively (e.g. performance management, annual pay/bonus reviews, learning and development, talent planning, succession planning).
• Support and coach HR colleagues and managers to understand and comply with relevant legislation and employee relation policies and practices.
Payroll:
• Manage all payroll activities to pay employees accurately and on time.
• Supervise the processing of payroll, aiming at guaranteeing the correct payment of employees within company parameters and according to current legislation.
• Provide guidance to employees on payroll, benefits, and HR administration queries.
Legal & Compliance:
• Provide interpretation and guidance on human resources policies and employment law.
• Ensure organisational compliance with employment law and implementation of new legal requirements.
People Management:
• Coach and support the personal and professional development of the HR Administrator under the span of control.

Your professional profile includes:
• University degree or equivalent – Bachelors or Masters in Human Resources, Psychology, Personnel/Labour relations, or Law.
• Minimum of 5-7 years relevant and solid progressive work experience in an HR Generalist domain alone other than in Talent Acquisition in international and multi-cultural work environments.
• Regional experience with countries in the Middle East and Maghreb is preferred.
• Should be locally available in Dubai, able to join immediately by the first week of April 2020, and preferably on a Parent/Spouse UAE residence visa sponsorship.
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language; additional language skills will be an asset.
• Strong abilities in consulting, communication, influencing, relationship-building, and able to inspire trust and confidence.
• Good knowledge of local and regional Compensation, Labour Relations, Regulations, and industry best practices.
• Excellent presentation skills and proficient in using common PC applications, good MS PowerPoint and MS Excel skills.
• Good working knowledge of HRIS systems like SAP.
