Job Overview:

McDermott is recruiting for a Senior HSES Manager to be based in Dubai. The successful candiadte will have relevant EPC Offshore experience

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Appointed Health, Safety and Environmental Management Representative for the duration of the project
Manage, monitor and advise on all matters related to the Health and Safety of personnel and issues affecting/impacting the environment due to project activities
Lead and drive a common and consistent risk based HSES culture throughout the project
Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis as required
Develop and lead implementation of the HSE-MS as required by the Contract and in line with corporate and legislative requirements in relation to project HSES Critical Activities (e.g. Engineering, Construction, HUC, Operations, Contractor interfaces)
Develop an integrated approach to HSES and Hazard & Effects Management across project and contractors
Support the planning and execution of the internal HSES audit and compliance assurance programs
Establish KPI’s relevant to the Project complete with measurement/compliance to the indicators
Monitor compliance to the objectives and targets are performance goals and operating standards and procedures
Review/approve subcontractors and vendors for project equipment/services
Conduct regular site and location visits/reviews
Identify and ensure suitable and sufficient project HSES resources (personnel) for adequate HSE coverage at worksites
Excellent written and verbal communication skills ad proven track record of successful project management

Basic Qualifications:

Total of 15 years Oil & Gas construction and process
Degree / Diploma in Safety Management or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Membership with a professional safety institute such as ASSE, IIRSM, IOSH, IEMA
Experienced integrated Management System auditor
