CE LA VI - Dubai is looking for skilled and experienced professionals for our Culinary Team.
Overview
Will be responsible for making sure that food is prepared to the exact specifications of the chef, establishment, and guest.

Principle Accountability
Station Set Up
•Responsible for preparing his or her station before the start of each service.
•Must make sure that all the supplies that will be needed for the night are available and ready for
use. This can include preparing some items in advance, or performing simple tasks such as stocking
the station with plates and bowls.

Prepping Food
• Prep food for service each day such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing
sauces. Depending on the needs of the kitchen
• May also be asked to prepare items for other stations or for special events.
Cooking
• Responsible during meal service for preparing the items requested from his or her station.
• Coordinate with other chefs in the kitchen to make sure that food is ready at the right time, in the right order so that it arrives at the guest’s table ready to eat and at the right temperature.
• Take instructions from Sous Chef or Executive Chef
Clean Up
• Responsible for cleaning his/her station at the end of service.
• Coordinate with other chefs to clean up their stations. This means disposing of garbage, cleaning utensils, pots, pans and cleaning cooking surfaces.
• Responsible for taking care of leftover food, whether that means disposing of it, returning unused items to the correct inventory location or storing cooked goods for use at another service.
Stocking
• If necessary, responsible for unloading delivery trucks and storing inventory correctly which means stocking pantries,walk in refrigerators, or simply inventorying items and reporting to the Executive Chef.
General
• Be fully conversant with all the companies policies in respect of human resources and staff welfare
• Report for duty punctually wearing appropriate attire
• Be fully conversant with the geographical layout of the operation and know the exact whereabouts of
all equipment of an operational nature
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• Maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff and all other departments and suppliers
• Provide a courteous, professional, attentive and efficient service at all times with all departments and customers
• Attend and contribute to all staff briefings and other related activities
• Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by duty manager, supervisor, and manager.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Education & Experience
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in similar position
• Can handle busy operations, preferably a minimum of 150 covers/night
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Basic knowledge on local food safety regulations
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues.
• Excellent management skills
• Ability to work in a team environment.
