A Commercial Assistant with the global leader in the creation of Flavours and Fragrances, and a key member of our Flavours Commercial team for the Middle East region, and to be based in our Dubai office - Your future position?
Due to increased business activity and ongoing project initiatives, we are currently looking to expand our Flavours Commercial team for the Middle East region, and hiring for a ‘Commercial Assistant’. This is a temporary full-time role on a 1-year contract.
Based in our Dubai office in Media City and reporting into the Flavours Commercial Director for the Middle East, you will be an integral part of the Commercial and Sales team providing critical support and to ensure world-class service for our Customers and that Givaudan leads the way. Your strong commercial, administrative, planning, and communication skills will enable your success in this role. In addition, you will actively build and maintain professional relationships with both internal teams and with our local, regional, and international customers in the Middle East region.

In this exciting role, with a ‘can do’ mind-set you will:
• Provide general back up and business support for Key Account Manager(s) [KAM’(s)].
• Cultivate Customer relationships within the portfolio of accounts.
• Prepare and maintain Customer directories for own KAM(s) Account List, containing all aspects of prices, codes, and contacts.
• Pricing: Preparation for price quotes for review by the KAM prior to confirmation to Customers, recording of prices in all Givaudan systems.
• Project Management:
a) Assist in managing commercial projects in collaboration with KAM(s).
b) Entering projects and monitoring the progress of the project and samples.
c) Identify customer requirements and follow-up on customer submissions.
• Business reviews: Twice a year when required by KAM(s).
• Documentation:
a) Ensure an efficient service on all aspects of Customer documentation, questionnaires, product information documents, etc.
b) Maintain local records of all shipments for Customer orders and provide regular order updates to the Customer.
• New wins:
a) Take ownership for transitioning Customer projects /new wins from scale-up to production
b) Preparation of monthly reports of new wins.
• Investigate and assist in resolving customer complaints as necessary.
• Assist KAM(s) in the preparation of the Account Development Plans (ADP).

Your professional profile includes:
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a B2B sales support or commercial support role(s) in international and multi-cultural work environments.
• Good working knowledge of the import/export regulations, customs, and shipment processes for material orders will be advantageous for this role.
• Already residing in Dubai and able to join immediately or within the next 1-2 weeks.
• Should preferably be on a Parent/Spouse UAE Residence visa sponsorship.
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language. Additional proficiency and knowledge of other languages like Arabic is a plus.
• IT skills: Proficient in MS Office applications like Word, Excel, and Power. Working knowledge of ERP’s like SAP would be advantageous.
• Excellent presentations skills and able to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Strong business acumen, time management skills, and the ability to prioritise as per the team needs.
• A flexible team player with a sense of facilitation and strong organisational skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to give attention to details
• Proactive with a creative mindset.
