Key Responsibilities
• Provide financial insight and analysis on key strategic operational projects, including finance lead/support where required.
• Analysis and reporting of item margin variances
• Review trends and challenge current performance vs forecast/budget, identifying reconciliation items, risks, and opportunities within the business
• Own Customer Rebates and reconciliation processes by customer
• Support Project owners on capital requests aligned to Growth and Maintenance
• Support Sales & Development team ensuring cost models are robust and returning required margins
• Owner of Annual Standard costs as an output from Annual Budget process
• Understand the business models of the different divisions of the company and develop MIS reporting structure unique to the respective business..
• Cashflow management
• Budget Management & preparation of monthly MIS reports. Analyze budget variances.
• Accounts receivable and payable management
• Produce timely and reliable management information reports (actual & forecast) on a monthly basis. Thorough understanding of consolidation principles in a multi divisional business model is required.
• Understand and implement the Balance Sheet Control Tools in partnership with the Finance Manager.
• Manage completion of the monthly Balance Sheet schedule file by all responsible individuals and ensure that the standards prescribed by the company in Balance Sheet Control Tool are met.
• Evaluate CAPEX proposals, compare them with budgets and advise management on the feasibility.
• Project Accounting
• P&L;planning, forecasting & actuals reporting on monthly basis
• Carry Gap/Variance analysis Actuals vs Budget vs forecast, price promo, marketing budget & Overheads drivers
• Deliver Business Cases for and what-if analysis scenarios to understand business performance
• Support business decision making by carrying P&L;simulations, profitability and ROI Analysis for activities
• Supporting pricing strategy decision through financial implication analysis
• Support the development of financial systems as a tool to deliver group reporting requirements, contributing to solutions that promote standardization, simplification and automation where possible
Qualifications
• Demonstrable experience of working in MIS reporting in a multi divisional group.
• Good knowledge of budgeting and forecasting issues and techniques.
• Proficiency in financial modeling in excel is a must
• Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
• 3 to 5 years’ work experience in a Group Senior Accounting role
• Advanced working knowledge of ERP systems, experience with using AX Dynamics
• Advanced knowledge of IFRS
• CIMA / CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA
• 2 years’ experience managing intercompany reconciliations and resolution processes in multiple currencies
