Job Purpose:
Data Analytics is a key aspect of the global audit methodology of KPMG. KPMG LG has a centralized team with a focus onsupporting our audit teams in integrating d&A;into the audit. The assistantmanager will be responsible for continues support in developing andimplementing D&A;strategy in addition to the delivery of audit D&A;engagements.
Thekey expectations of the role are -
• Understand the auditmethodology
• Help identify routinesthat help analyze data to provide insights to audit team
• Provide guidance to extractdata from client source systems
• Analyze large datasets in SQL, MS Excel / Access or other tools
• Present informationusing visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau and others
• Working with a highperformance team
• Constantly enhancingknowledge and expertise
• Effectivecommunication with stakeholders
D&Arequires;very specific skills of experts who not only have analyticalcapabilities but also strong industry expertise. Additionally they shouldunderstand the Big 4 audit methodologies and the implementation of D&Aroutines;to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interact with Audit teams
o Understand the audit procedures and work with the audit team to identify areas whereD&A;can help them become more efficient or obtain better coverage
o Explainthe output of the D&A;routines and how it will help the audit procedures
• Interact with IRM team
o Work with thetechnology team to extract data and overcome technology challenges at theclient side
• Interact with client
o Work withclient teams to identify relevant data and extract the same
o Discuss,along with audit team, the findings / observations with client business owners
o Presentthe findings in a visually appealing manner to senior stakeholders
• Practice development
o Manage asubset of centralised team to handle all D&A;needs of the audit practice
o Build and evolve the D&A;routine database
o Managethe resource allocation across various engagements
o Hiring and mentoring of team members to ensure a motivated team with clear goalsand ownership on deliverables within the junior members of the team

Typical Experience/Qualifications:
• The individual shouldhave hands on experience in leading statutory / financial audits, ideally inBig 4 Audit practice
• The individual shouldhave had experience in implementing D&A;in the audit
• Ideally the individualmust have experience in identifying D&A;routines that will enhance auditprocedures to bring in efficiency and effectiveness
• An in depth knowledgeof the audit methodologies, along with technologies that support D&A;likeACL, Idea, Python etc. and hands on experience in running D&A;routines.
• Experience inpresenting findings to senior executives and acting as a thought leader forbusiness.
• Ideally experience invisualization tools like Power BI will be useful
• Experience in managingteams of people in a project mode.
• A universityqualification, Professional Accountancy qualification like CA, ACCA, CPA etc., orMBA or equivalent.
• Ability to understandbusiness issues, audit risks and translate that into data requirements/measures
