The purpose of this job is manage the commercialization of all Private label items and to support the Private Label team. This position owns the commercialization process for private label. The incumbent aligns cross-functional teams, manages the development, execution, and communication of the commercialization projects.
Accountabilities
Commercialize new Private Label (PL) items.
Leads PL Meetings to ensure alignment across all cross-functional groups. Communicate key information and next steps after each meeting.
Identify potential gaps in delivering items to customer expectations. Works with PL Project Manager and other team members to ensure alignment of timing, priorities and gaps in execution. Work collaboratively to resolve gaps.
Lead repository implementation for the PL business. Coordinate with Regulatory, Supply Chain, Sales Development, Packaging, Operations, Legal and PMO team.
Lead SKU Rationalization process for Private Label.
Manage the PL bid process. Communicate key information and next steps.
Manage PL Innovation Activity - assist in developing key project management forms and managing process- idea, business case, stage gate documents.
Document current PL processes - commercialization, NPD, bid management. Identify gaps for improvement and differences versus our branded businesses. Recommend solutions.
Identify key PL opportunities through market analysis and working with cross functional partners. Create business cases for opportunities.
Participate and provide input into strategic discussions and decisions.
Track contracts and bid renewals and proactively address to ensure uninterrupted business.
Regular interaction with these key functional groups - Sales, Graphics, Pricing, Sales Support, Data Stewards, Regulatory, Demand/Supply Planning, Customer Solutions, R&D;, PMO. Influence each group to align them around priorities and key project timelines.
Perform other functions or services as required or assigned.
Knowledge/Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 6 years in marketing, project management or general management in a CPG environment
Knowledge of consumer retail marketing and sales
Knowledge of trade promotion, market analysis, market research, advertising, budgeting, consumer promotion, financial analysis, and supply chain a plus
Experience with syndicated data sources (IRI, Nielsen) required
Critical/analytical/strategic/creative thinking; ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization effectively
Organize, prioritize and interpret; ability to direct project activities in a cross-functional team environment
